June Bug Weddings: Bangs Island Mussels Barge Styled Shoot with Emily Delamater and Owen + Jenny

This was my first styled shoot and I couldn't have asked for anything better. I asked Emily Delamater if she'd help me style it and shoot with me because I felt like the vibe would match her and Matt's aesthetic, and I'm so glad I did! They were so much fun to work with. We shot this back in March and I was hoping for a gray, foggy day that would magically clear for a beautiful sunset... what we got was pretty different - intermittent bright sun and hail. HAIL. But it was great, we used reflectors as umbrellas and came out with beautiful images and lots of laughs. The inspiration for this was a nautical elopement, but more relaxed, commercial fishing boat vibes than what you traditionally think of with a wedding on the Maine coast. Bangs Island Mussels generously let us use their space and took us out of their barge. HOME catering cooked up some mussels and the seriously talented Megan of Field Floral Studio made some gorgeous flower arrangements. Owen + Jenny modeled for us, which made me so happy! I've known Owen since we were young and knew he'd eloped when he and Jenny were living in Sweden and didn't have wedding photos, so I loved the prospect of making some real photos for them even if it was a fake elopement.
